Words of Encouragement
Welcoming the Chief Guest, Adil Rashid Shah congratulated all the winners and encouraged them to train harder for UT-level and national championships. He reaffirmed that the J&K Carrom Association, with the support of its district units and the J&K Sports Council, is actively working to promote carrom across the region.
DySp Altaf Ahmad Khan, in his address, emphasized the significance of sports participation and the support of parents in shaping young athletes.
“You are fortunate to have parents who encourage you to take part in such events. As officers, we are restricted to particular areas, but players have no limits—they can compete at any level. Keep striving for excellence!”
Looking Ahead
The J&K Carrom Association remains committed to expanding the sport across Jammu & Kashmir, with more district-level and state-level championships planned in the near future. A special acknowledgment was given to the J&K Sports Council, especially Secretary Nuzhat Gull, for their continued support in promoting carrom under the “My Youth, My Pride” initiative.”
