Jammu, Feb 07: Vikram Randhawa, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA Bahu Constituency on Friday initiated the lane and drain construction work in Sector-9, Ward No. 43, Nanak Nagar. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 70 lakh, aims to provide much-needed relief to residents who have been facing issues due to poor drainage and damaged lanes.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Randhawa reiterated his commitment to enhancing urban infrastructure and addressing the core civic issues of the constituency. He said the Modi government is working tirelessly to ensure modern and well-planned development in every locality. “Development is not just about roads and drains; it is about creating a better quality of life for the people. Our focus is on ensuring sustainable urban infrastructure that meets the needs of the growing population and enhances the standard of living,” he said.
The senior BJP leader assured the public that all ongoing and upcoming projects in the Bahu Constituency would be completed within a stipulated timeframe while maintaining high construction standards. He stressed the importance of public participation in development initiatives, urging residents to monitor the ongoing development works and contribute to keeping their localities clean and well-maintained.
Residents of Ward No. 43 expressed their gratitude to Randhawa for addressing their long-standing demands. Senior party leaders, local BJP workers, and officials from the concerned departments were present at the occasion, marking the commencement of the development work.
Randhawa interacted with the locals, listening to their grievances and assuring swift action on other pending infrastructural issues. He said more such projects are in the pipeline to revamp the urban landscape of Jammu and provide better civic amenities to every household.
