JAMMU, NOV 24: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended the ‘Satsang Samagam’ organized by the All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha at Kabir Bhawan, Bishnah, today. On the occasion, he paid homage to the revered saint, Sant Kabir, and highlighted his immense contributions to society. The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the vision and ideals of Sant Kabir embody the universal values that are deeply rooted in India’s cultural fabric.
“Sant Kabir’s teachings advocate unity of hearts and minds, which are essential for peace, progress, and prosperity. We must come together and work towards building an inclusive society,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked. He further noted that Sant Kabir’s divine verses shed light on various social issues, such as women’s empowerment, and the upliftment of weavers, farmers, and other marginalized communities. Kabir’s emphasis on inner reflection and social reform continues to inspire generations of Indians, he added.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor called on the people to embrace Sant Kabir’s timeless philosophy and spread his message of oneness, peace, and social justice. He also responded to the concerns raised by the representatives of the All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha, assuring that the government would take appropriate action to address the genuine issues presented by the community.
“The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prioritized the welfare of deprived sections of society. Now, it is time for communities that have faced discrimination for decades to rise, join the developmental journey, and enjoy the benefits of progress,” the Lieutenant Governor emphasized. He reiterated his commitment to empowering the community and assured the full support of the government in this regard.
Present at the event were Chander Prakash Ganga and Dr. Rajeev Bhagat, Members of Legislative Assembly; Faqir Chand Bhagat, President of the All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha; Sh Vipan Kumar, President of the All J&K Reserved Category Employees Association; G R Bhagat, Senior Vice President of the Sabha; and other prominent figures, along with members of the local community.
