Udhampur, Oct 30: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA for Udhampur East, on Wednesday called for combating elements attempting to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Disturbers of public peace cannot be allowed to go scot-free,” he said while addressing a series of public meetings in the Udhampur area. He reiterated the government’s unwavering policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism.
Pathania said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to ensuring the safety and security of every citizen. “Our government is resolute in its fight against terrorism. We will not rest until we eliminate the threats that seek to undermine our society,” he said. He urged the people to remain vigilant and proactive in reporting any suspicious activities, reinforcing the idea that maintaining peace is a collective responsibility.
“The sacrifices made by our security forces are commendable, and we owe it to them to stand united against forces that aim to create chaos,” he added. Ranbir reiterated the BJP’s dedication to strengthening law enforcement agencies and enhancing their capabilities in tackling terrorism and maintaining public order.
In addition to addressing security concerns, the MLA inaugurated two significant Public Works Department (PWD) projects aimed at improving local infrastructure. These include the construction of a road from the PWD Office to Mergedi via Bhagwan Singh Manhas Mohalla and a road from Kabrastan to Chatrah, PH Chiani. With a combined budget of approximately Rs 25 lakhs, these projects are expected to enhance connectivity and spur economic growth in the region. “Infrastructure development is vital for our progress,” he said. “These roads will not only facilitate smoother transportation but also create opportunities for local businesses and improve the quality of life for residents.”
