Srinagar, September 19: Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, IAS, Director Sericulture J&K, expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Mohammad Shafi Pandit Sahib, a towering figure in Jammu and Kashmir’s administrative circles and one of the first-generation IAS officers from the state, belonging to the 1969 batch.
In a message of condolence, Mr. Bhat described Shri. Mohammad Shafi Pandit Sahib as a distinguished leader, an exemplary public servant, and a great human being who dedicated his life to the service of the people of J&K.
He played a pivotal role in shaping the state’s administrative landscape and remained a source of inspiration for generations of civil servants.
On behalf of the Sericulture Department, Mr. Bhat extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength to help them cope with this immense loss. He further prayed for the departed soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant Mohammad Shafi Pandit Sahib the highest ranks in Jannah (Heaven) and eternal peace.
