Jammu, July 25: The Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu & Kashmir unit leaders staged a strong protest at Badi Brahmana Chowk on the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway, demanding strong military action against Pakistan.
The protest, led by Manish Sahni, President of the Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K unit, saw the burning of the Pakistani flag and calls for revenge against Pakistan’s terrorist organisations, including the Kashmir Tigers, who claimed responsibility for recent attacks on Indian soldiers.
During the protest, Sahni accused the BJP government at the Centre of failing to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir, despite being in its third tenure. “The people of the region have suffered from terrorism for the past three and a half decades, with the situation worsening under the current administration,” he said.
The Shiv Sena leader demanded a strong response to the martyrdom of Indian soldiers.
“In the last month alone, 12 soldiers and 10 civilians have died in terrorist incidents in the Jammu division. Over the past three years, more than 50 Indian soldiers have made the supreme sacrifice in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
“The martyrdom of soldiers should not be tolerated,” he said and called for decisive military action to eliminate terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
