3 south Kashmir residents killed in Kupwara road accident

Kupwara, Aug 02: At least three south Kashmir residents lost their lives when their private vehicle met with a fatal accident in Tweetal area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday

According to reports, the driver of the vehicle, Swift car (JK03F 5801), lost control, resulting in the death of all three passengers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, son of Gh Nabi, aged 50 years, resident of Anantnag (driver); Nazir Ahmad Magray, son of Mohd Sultan Magray, aged 55 years, resident of Mulsoo; and Farooz Ahmad Pala, son of Ab Salam Palla, aged 45 years, resident of Seer Hamdan, Anantnag.

Local residents reported that soon after accident locals quickly arrived at the scene and attempted to rescue the trio. The victims were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, but they were declared dead upon arrival.

Police have confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
