Illicit timber seized, accused arrested in Baramulla: Police

Police have recovered illicit timber in compartment No. 09 village Bimyar Boniyar area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said that acting on a reliable information, police recovered 8 logs of illicit timber (Deodar) from compartment No 9 Bimyar Boniyar, the accused persons were identified as Mushtaq Ahmad son of Ali Mohd, Maroof Ahmad son of amod Yaqoob Khan & Ab Rehman son of Mohd Ismail all residents of Bimyar Boniyar.
"Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 13/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Boniyar & investigation has been initiated", he said.
