Baramulla, Nov 8: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar on Tuesday visited Gurudwara Chati Padshahi Baramulla to participate in the celebrations of Gurupurab, observed with religious fervour on the birth anniversary of first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She extended warm greetings to the Sikh community of Baramulla and assured assistance from District administration for smooth conduct of the celebrations.
The DC directed the concerned authorities to ensure uninterrupted electricity, drinking water and supply of other essential amenities at the venue. She said that religious co-existence, harmony, peace and progress of all has been the way of life of all Sikh Gurus and is the message of every religion. Extending warm greetings on the auspicious occasion, the DC extended her wishes and prayed for unity, harmony, peace, progress and prosperity in J&K.
