Kulgam, June 03: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K president Ravinder Raina on Saturday said that the party is ready to fight the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir whenever the Election Commission of India (ECI) schedules them.
Raina was speaking to Kulgam and Shopian workers at Kulgam as the party celebrated “nine years of the BJP government”.
Addressing the workers at the Rest House here, along with senior BJP leader Dr Darakshah Andrabi, district president Zubair Ahmad Ganie and many others, Raina said the Modi government’s nine years had been “magnificent, with unparalleled progress”.
“We want to bring everyone together to work for the betterment of society,” he said, adding, “I personally believe that the assembly elections should take place today. The Election Commission of India should announce the dates for elections in Jammu and Kashmir as soon as possible.”
“On the ninth anniversary of the Modi government, the BJP activists are going to nook and corner of J&K to spread the message of progress,” he said.
Mentioning the Golden Card, Kissan Scheme, and other government-sponsored programmes, ,” Raina said the BJP government has been “successful in upholding the promises” of the people to the best of their abilities.
“The work done under PM Modi’s leadership has given the people of J&K hope and happiness,” he said.
