ZEO Boniyar Suspended Over Dereliction Of Duty

Srinagar, May 10: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla on Sunday placed Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Boniyar, Abdul Rehman Lone, under suspension with immediate effect over alleged gross dereliction of duty, poor performance and failure to submit the required action plan.

 

According to an official order issued by the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, the suspension was ordered pending the initiation of formal disciplinary proceedings against the officer.

 

The order stated that Abdul Rehman Lone, who was serving as ZEO Boniyar, failed to discharge his duties satisfactorily and did not submit the requisite action plan sought by the authorities.

 

“In view of the gross dereliction of duty, poor performance and non-submission of requisite Action Plan, Abdul Rehman Lone, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Boniyar, is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect, pending initiation of formal disciplinary proceedings,” the order reads.

 

The administration has further directed that during the suspension period, the officer will remain attached with the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla.

 

A copy of the order has also been forwarded to the Director School Education Kashmir for information and further necessary action.
