YSS Cricket Cup organised in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 3: The Department of Youth Services & Sports, Zone Jammu, organised an inter-ward zonal-level YSS Cup 2022 in the age group of 18-35 yrs Boys in the discipline of Cricket.
It was organised under the chairmanship of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu and overall supervision of I/C Zonal Physical Education Officer, Jammu, Tilak Raj Sharma, at Parade Ground Jammu. 
On the occasion, Suneet Kumar Raina, Corporator Ward No 09, graced the function as the chief guest whereas Randheer Singh Manhas, a cricket coach, was the guest of honour. With the cooperation of field staff, the competition was successful. Raina appreciated the initiative taken by the Central government for the upliftment of the budding players. He showed his gratitude toward such kinds of programmes conducted by the government. He encouraged the participants and took pledge along with ZPEO Jammu and field staff to make India drug-free. 
Overall, 150 players from different wards of Zone Jammu participated in the competition. All SOPs were followed as per directions issued by the administration from time to time. 
In the end, ZPEO Tilak Raj Sharma proposed words of appreciation and thanked the chief guest for his valuable support in making the competition a “great success”. He appreciated the participants and motivated them to participate in games and sports to maintain their fitness level.  
In Saturday’s final match, Rainbow Warriors Cricket Club won against Rising Star Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
