Pulwama, Oct 31 : An 18-year-old motorcyclist died on the spot,another person was injured in a road accident at Kadlabal area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening.
A police officer said that the motorcyclist died, while other person was injured after a collision occurred between motorcycle and a car in Kadlabal area of Pampore.
The deceased was identified as Sahil Maqbool, son of Mohammad Maqbool Khanday, a resident of Latterbal, Pampore. The injured pillion rider was identified as Sahil Ashraf Guroo, son of Mohammad Ashraf, a resident of Tulbagh, Pampore.
The injured person was shifted to SDH Pampore for treatment, where his condition was reported as stable.
The police officer stated that the driver of the car involved in the accident has been arrested and the vehicle has been seized.
He said a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is underway.
