Samba, Feb 19: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and former minister, S Manjit Singh on Monday said the youth have developed faith in the Party leadership and its agenda of development.
As per a press release, a meeting of youth was organized by Irshan Choudhary, Block President, Youth Wing, Bari Brahmana.
Mohammed Ashraf, Secretary Apni Trade Union, was also present on the occasion. The meeting was organized at village Meen Sarkar, Bari Brahmana in District Samba.
During the meeting, the youth highlighted their concern over the growing unemployment and insufficient opportunities in the private sector and industrial sector.
While holding deliberation, the former minister said that the traditional political parties have failed to deliver as per the expectation of the people. “These political parties have exploited the youth as vote banks and tried to divide the society on the name of region and religion,” he said, while referring to the policy of autonomy, self – rule and discrimination with Jammu.
Singh said that Jammu has been facing the worst kind of disparity regarding unemployment, development, and allocation of funds after several years because there is no elected government.
“In the wake of the exploitation of the youth in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir, the youth have now pinned their hopes with the Apni Party because of its developmental agenda and policy of promoting unity and integrity,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Apni Party leader referred to the promotion of sportsmanship among the youth. “The drug addiction among the unemployed youth has increased and the authorities have not been able to handle the issue that has given birth to multiple criminal activities,” he said and demanded coordinated efforts to curb drug addiction with the active involvement of civil society, and police.
