Youth Festival: District Level Inter-Zonal Yuvakriti competition held at Udhampur

Udhampur, Oct 24: A District Level Inter-Zonal Yuvakriti competition was organized on Thursday by the Sports Department Udhampur here at Subhash Stadium as part of the Youth Festival
Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai was the Chief Guest, while District Information Officer Rajinder Digra was the guest of honour and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Romesh Chander Mishra presided over the event.
The competition witnessed overwhelming participation, with 12 teams drawn from five zones of the district.
The DC interacted with the participants and honored the winners, lauding their achievements. She extended her best wishes for their future endeavors. She further urged the participants to put in their best efforts, emphasizing that selected individuals would represent the district at the UT level. She assured that the District Administration Udhampur is fully committed to providing all necessary support to these talented individuals as they progress.
The event featured a vibrant range of thematic and cultural performances, including life skills demonstrations and the Yuvakriti competition, all meticulously organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
In the Group Folk Dance category, the first position was secured by GHSS Barta Zone Jib, while GHSS Garhi Zone emerged winner in the Group Folk Song category. In the Solo Folk Song category, GHS Kawa Zone Jib clinched the top spot.
Among others present were Anita Goswami, Som Dev Khajuria, Ramesh Chander, Vikas Sharma, Jatin Sethi, Karun Magotra, Bhoopinder Singh, Jagdish Kumar, Bikram Singh, Anita Kunari, Surjeet Singh, Anshu Brat Khanna, Meenakshi, Sanjeev Khajuria and Ishang Bandral.
