Bandipora, Oct 14: A 28-year-old youth died of a massive cardiac arrest in Aloosa village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday afternoon.
The untimely death of Umar Aziz of Aloosa village of Bandipora shocked his family and friends and pall of gloom descended on his native village as soon as the news of his death reached his village.
Locals told Rising Kashmir that Umar Aziz was at his home when he suffered the attack after which he was shifted to District Hospital Bandipora in an “unconscious” condition.
A health official at District hospital Bandipora told Rising Kashmir that the most likely cause of the young man’s death was cardiac arrest adding that his vitals were not functional when he was brought to the casualty, indicating he had already passed away.
Umar was working in the Department of Health in District hospital Bandipora. Hundreds of his friends and relatives turned up to have the last glimpse of Umar and participated in his funeral prayers.
Meanwhile District hospital Bandipora management including Medical Superintendent Dr Sheikh Mushtaq expressed grief and sorrow on his sad demise and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to his family.
