YCET campus placement drive empowers students for bright future

Jammu, Oct 25: In a significant step towards enhancing the career prospects of its students, Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET) in Jammu conducted a campus placement drive as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The event, aimed at establishing a strong academia-industry interface, attracted prominent companies such as Flipkart, Varindera Constructions Ltd, Lady Bird Web Solutions Pvt Ltd, and Myntra. 
The drive, which was open to all Final Year B.E. students at YCET, offered diverse job profiles, including Technical Support Executive, Customer Care Executive, E-Commerce Customer Service Representatives, Construction Engineers, and Software Engineers. 
Flipkart, a leading E-Commerce company headquartered in Bangalore, offered opportunities for Technical Support and Customer Care roles. Varindera Constructions Ltd. Mohali, a renowned construction company, recruited Construction Engineers. Ladybird Web Solution, an IT product company, selected candidates for various roles. Myntra, a major fashion E-Commerce company, hired students for their online retail platform.
Out of fifty-five shortlisted students, ten candidates successfully navigated a rigorous selection process involving aptitude tests, group discussions, in-person interviews, and telephone interviews. Notably, Ms. Ayushi, Ms. Purvi Mathur, and Mrs. Roshanshu Wadhera secured positions with Flipkart, while Mr. Aman, Mr. Umesh, and Mr. Chirag were recruited by Varindera Constructions Ltd. Three students, Mr. Deveshwar Singh, Ms. Ayushi Bandral, and Ms. Palak, were hired by Flipkart, and Ms. Ayushi earned a spot at Myntra.
The Placement Cell of YCET played a pivotal role in organizing the event, which witnessed active participation from officials of the participating companies. The college’s focus on career counseling and industry-oriented skill development was evident, enabling students to excel during the placement process. The selected candidates will receive packages ranging from 2 to 4 lakh per annum, contingent on their performance after training. 
YCET’s Chairman Er. Vidhi S. Singh Jamwal, Vice-Chairman Thakur Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Managing Director Er. Renu Bangroo, Director Dr. (Prof.) Mukesh Kumar Rana, Dean Academics Er. Dinesh Gupta, and Chief Coordinator Er. B.R Verma commended the college team for their efforts, extending their best wishes to the successful students. The entire placement drive was meticulously coordinated by HODs, department placement coordinators, and Assistant TPO Er Manjula Sharma, under the guidance of Er. Dinesh Gupta, Head of the Training and Placement Cell of YCET. The selected students received offer letters and were encouraged to join their respective roles promptly, marking a significant achievement for YCET’s student community.
