A prominent Cardiologist posted at SMHS hospital, Dr Irfan Bhat, who was the Chief Organizer of the event, while speaking with the media persons said that the run was organized on the World Heart Day with an aim to raise awareness among the people about heart disease.
At present, it has been observed that the lifestyle of people, especially youth has got affected; they are getting involved in drug addiction, which affects their health badly.
The club has come up with an initiative to create awareness among the masses on this day to create awareness among the people and attract them towards the physical activities.
According to the study, he said that it is mandatory for any individual to walk or run for at least 30 minutes in a day, which would keep their health condition better.
In the past two years, he said that drug abuse is very common as both boys and girls are getting indulged in it. “At this juncture, I want to appeal to people to quit smoking and come out of the drug menace as such things can only ruin the health of an individual,” Dr Irfan said.
