A three-day training program on fruit and vegetable processing, organized by the department of horticulture in collaboration with NRLM UMEED, concluded today at Panchayat Taroti. The program was aimed at imparting skills and knowledge to local women on making value-added products from fruits and vegetables, such as pickles, jams and squash.
The concluding function was presided over by SDM Khour, Anil Kumar Thakur, who appreciated the efforts of the department and NRLM team. He said that the program was designed to foster entrepreneurship and self-reliance among the participants, who could use their skills to generate income and livelihood opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of such initiatives in empowering women and making them contributing members of society.
