Srinagar, May 2: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly attacked her fiancée with a knife in the Kak Sarai area of Chattabal, Srinagar. The victim, identified as Adil Ahmad Kaloo from Bemina, sustained serious injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable now, according to the police.
The suspect, identified as Asifa Bashir from Parimpora, has been arrested by the police within hours of the incident. “A case under relevant sections of the law has been registered against her,” said the police, adding that the reason behind the attack is said to be due to some issues between the couple.
According to reports, the couple was going through some personal problems, and there was a heated argument between the two before the incident occurred. The police have registered a case against the accused woman and are questioning her to gather more information about the incident.
The victim’s family has expressed shock and disbelief at the attack and urged the police to take strict action against the accused. “FIR No 57/2023 in Safakadal PS. Accused lady arrested,” informed police in a tweet.
Such incidents of violence in relationships are a cause for concern, and people must learn to resolve their issues through peaceful means rather than resorting to violence. The police have appealed to people to come forward and report any such incidents to them and seek their assistance in resolving such issues.
The police have assured the public that they will take strict action against those who indulge in such acts of violence. This incident is a reminder that it is crucial to seek help and support when facing personal or relationship problems, and violence is never an acceptable solution.
Pertinent to mention here, recently this girl took to her social media pageand alleged a pet shop owner of killing her pet cat. The shopkeeper later said that these allegations jeopardized his business.
