A pillion rider died on Wednesday morning after falling off the bike in Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, officials said.
An official said, the woman fell off the bike and suffered a grievous injury. She was rushed to Primary Health Centre Qaimoh (PHC) for treatment.
An official identified her as Hajira Bano wife of Khursheed Ahmad a resident of Danav Bogund.
A health officer at PHC Qaimoh told Rising Kashmir that the lady was given first aid and referred to GMC Anantnag. However, she is said to have died on the way.
Police have registered a case in this regard and have started a further investigation, an official said.
