Bandipora, Dec 21: Adding one more feather to her success, NazranaAhsanWani, a young author of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been selected as a delegate of Istanbul International Model United Nations. Nazrana has already won 150 awards before achieving yet another milestone of her life.

Istanbul International Model United Nations (IIMUN), is a THIMUN-affiliated Model UN conference, that takes place every year in Istanbul, to expose the participating youth to the global economic, political, and social affairs to enable them to be the leaders of the future and find plausible solutions to bring about peace and unity. Individuals take up the role of delegates to represent different nations and engage in a discourse of diplomacy and leadership to solve world crises.

The IIMUN Conference will be held in Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus Turkey from 23rd of February to 26th February 2023 where Nazrana will represent India as a delegate.

Hailing from Lawdara village of District, Nazrana was studying in 9th standard when she started writing and in a short span of four years she has co-authored more than thirty books among which three have found their place in “World Book Of Records”.

Nazrana also authored a book named “Shadowless Evening” which has been published under a London based publication “saffron berrys” and it is available on Amazon, Flipkart, Shopee, Notionpress.

While talking to Rising Kashmir, Nazrana said her happiness knew no bounds when she got to know about her selection as delegate to Istanbul International Model United Nations.

“I came to know about it from an Instagram ad and I filled out a form to apply for that. I was not aware if I could be part of this stuff. When I got an email that I was selected, I was really head over heels”, she said.

Nazrana said support plays a huge role in any journey and she is grateful to be able to have an amazing crowd of support stand behind me. “My family has been my backbone throughout my life and they have been there to help me deal with the hardships I faced, and they have also been there to help me celebrate the accomplishments I achieved”, she said.

She said struggles and hardships will always be a part of being human and no matter who you are, wherever you are from, whatever your job may be, you will have problems facing you.

Nazrana said every single day is a challenge, a challenge that must always be conquered, and if you cannot handle the pressure of life, it will definitely stress you out, that would then lead to you constantly worrying about it and it will stop you from living a happy life.

Nazrana said for her the most struggling phase was to cpe up with those social taboos that girls can’t be a player, a medical student can’t be a writer, a girl can’t raise her voice.

She said her friends used to call her an online artist and used to bully her on the basis of her choices. “It was difficult for me to tackle those taunts, those cringy things but my family and my few friends continuously pushed me to the right and look am i here”, she said.

Nazrana is additionally working as Official Campus Ambassador intern at the International Model United Nations.
