Jammu, Aug 20: National Conference Jammu Provincial Joint Secretary Ankush Abrol and Zonal Secretary and Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) Dr Vikas Sharma on Sunday held an interaction with a group of youth and asked them to strengthen the hands of the National Conference in the forthcoming municipal elections and “effectively expose multiple failures” of the BJP-led Centre government among the masses for not fulfilling its promises and deceiving them.
Addressing the youth, Ankush said, “Our youth is very upset at this time because the graph of unemployment is touching the sky as the present government does not care about them and only scams have become a set pattern in the government recruitment agencies.”
He assured the youth to help them solve their every problem in the wake of NC coming to power in Jammu and Kashmir. “The BJP government had promised the youth that they will create two crore jobs for the youth every year, but nothing happened on the ground so far except propagating the false philosophy of bringing ‘Achhe Din’ and handing out false promises to the youth,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Vikas said that only the youth can bring visible change and they should actively work in the upcoming ULB elections, elect NC candidates and bring them forward for equitable development and progress of Jammu City. “Hence everyone should join hands together to do good for Jammu City by ensuring the victory of JKNC candidates,” he said.
He added, “The financial status of the general public is at the lowest ebb and the present LG dispensation is hell-bent to install smart meters. The smart meter is an ill gift of the present government, which is being forcefully thrust upon the poor people to jeopardise their day-to-day livelihood.”
“Whether it is a meter or property tax, we will not allow it to be imposed as we will do the work for the overall interest of the public,” Dr Vikas added.
