Srinagar, Mar 13: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kreeri-Wagoora, Advocate Irfan Hafiz Lone on Thursday reiterated his commitment to addressing the pressing concerns of his constituency, assuring the people that he will continue to speak up for their rights and development in the coming days in the legislative assembly.
While speaking to Rising Kashmir, MLA Lone said that issues regarding education and health infrastructure in Kreeri-Wagoora have already been raised in the legislative assembly. “We are actively pursuing the development of better educational institutions and healthcare facilities in our area,” he said.
Highlighting local grievances, he mentioned that specific issues from areas like Namanar and Chount Pathri have also been brought to the notice of authorities. “Electricity problems persist in many areas, and in Chount Pathri, a longstanding road connectivity issue needs urgent redressal,” he said.
The MLA called for strengthening the power infrastructure in the region. “There is an old receiving station at Palpora. We are demanding a separate and fully equipped receiving station in Wanigam to meet the increasing power demands,” he added.
When asked about the concerns of daily wagers and casual labourers, Lone expressed strong support for their cause. “These workers have rendered selfless service, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are demanding a permanent solution for them and will continue to raise this demand at all appropriate forums,” he said.
MLA Lone assured that his voice will remain active and consistent in representing the genuine concerns of the people of Kreeri-Wagoora, with a firm resolve to ensure justice and development for all.
