Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Darakshan Andrabi on Thursday said that the Waqf board will come up with its own control room to see the crescent by next Eid which will end the confusion like yesterday.
Speaking to media persons, the J&K waqf chairperson said that by next Eid, it will come up with its own control room to see the crescent and with such development, confusions like yesterday will end. “Its is the scientific age, we have everything available to us and why not we can decide ourselves,” she said.
‘Last night people were also calling us, but we had no control over it, but now people are coming to say that we should form our own Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and we will act on it now.
From tonight, she said that the Taraweeh prayers from Hazratbal Shrine popularly called Dargah Sharif will be made live. “Bayt al-mal will be separated from the funds of the waqf board and there is a lot of poverty in Kashmir and we want that share to reach those entitled,” she said.(KNS).
