Ganderbal, Apr 03: In a successful joint operation, the Wildlife Department, in conjunction with local Police, has managed to capture the leopard responsible for injuring at least five individuals in Fatehpura, Ganderbal. The incident sparked widespread concern among locals, prompting immediate action.
According to reports, residents noticed a leopard prowling in the area and promptly alerted Wildlife officials. In response, a large-scale search operation was initiated to locate and neutralize the threat.
During the intensive search, three Wildlife officials, including two women, were unfortunate victims of the leopard’s aggression, sustaining injuries in the process.
“After concerted efforts,” stated a Wildlife official, “the leopard was successfully captured alive.”
Meanwhile, the injured individuals have been swiftly transported to a nearby medical facility for necessary treatment.
