Srinagar, June 24: In a shocking incident, a husband was killed by his wife on Saturday evening in Rawathpora, Baghat in Srinagar.
According to reports, “The couple had been involved in a dispute for the past three years, and the wife had allegedly been regularly beating her husband.”
The deceased man has been identified as Abdul Rashid Dar, son of Abdul Kareem Dar from Rawathpora. On the evening of the incident, the wife assaulted him, resulting in severe injuries. Immediately, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
Local police arrived at the scene promptly to commence their investigation into the case. The body of the deceased has been moved to the hospital for a postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased are demanding strict action against the accused, who they believe are responsible for this heinous crime.
A police officer told Rising Kashmir that the accused woman has been arrested, and further investigation is currently underway.
