Srinagar, May 29: BJP’s youth leader and Media & IT in-charge Manzoor Bhat on Monday attended the special screening of the Bollywood film “Welcome to Kashmir” at Inox Cinema here and commended the director Tariq Bhat for his “commendable work”.
As the chief guest on the occasion, Manzoor Bhat expressed his admiration for the film and highlighted the importance for today’s youth to engage in activities that bring laurels to their country and state rather than being involved in other less constructive pursuits.
The event was aimed to promote women’s safety, raise awareness about drug addiction among the youth of Kashmir, and highlight the positive aspects of Jammu and Kashmir along with the bravery of the J&K Police force, the organizers of the special screening said.
Bhat extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for “providing numerous platforms for the youth” to showcase their talent. “The youth of Kashmir no longer shy away from exhibiting their skills, whether it be on digital platforms or in movie theaters. This growing participation demonstrates the significant progress made by the youth of Kashmir,” he said.
The entertainment industry plays a vital role in shaping societal perspectives and promoting cultural understanding. Recognizing this, the aim of the event was to encourage the Kashmiri youth to actively participate in the entertainment industry. By engaging in creative endeavors, the youth can contribute to the cultural and artistic landscape of the region, while also empowering themselves.
The BJP youth leader and the organizers expressed hope that “Welcome to Kashmir” will serve as a catalyst for positive change, inspiring young individuals to pursue their dreams and contribute to the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
