Bandipora, Aug 08: The Apni party President Syed Altaf Bukhari on Thursday said he expects the announcement of assembly elections from the Election Commission of India (ECI) team which is on a two-day visit to Kashmir.
Speaking with the reporters after paying obeisance at the Ziyaret Shareef Syed Ghulam Rasool Shah, popularly known as Nanga Baji, in Malangam, Bandipora, Bukhari said the Apni Party will participate in the upcoming election.
He said leaders change their party according to their will and the right party welcomes their decisions. “Those leaving the party will not affect us,” he said.
Replying to a queue that all workers have resigned from the party, Altaf Bukhari said the district president, Syed Shafat Kazmi will continuously lead the party in Bandipora.
Bukhari was accompanied by senior party leader and former MLA Ghulam Hassan Mir, Imtiyaz Parray and other senior leaders.
