War against drug continues: Driver of Health Department arrested in Baramulla

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said that it has arrested a driver of health department and 200 tabs of Spasmoproxyvon Plus & 10 syrups of Codiene Phosphate recovered from him at Pattan area of Baramulla district.

                                                                                                  A Police spokesman said that Police under the supervision of Mohammad Nawaz-JKPS, SDPO Pattan assisted by PSI Aeraf Niyaz, IC PP Palhallan arrested one person namely Mehraj-ud-Din Sofi S/O Mohd Sidiq Sofi R/O Bazar Mohalla Pattan who was arrested during surprise naka checking at Palhallan Morh Pattan who tried to flee from the spot but was apprehend tactfully by the naka party.”

 

“During search of the handbag which he was carrying 200 tabs of Spasmoproxyvon Plus & 10 syrups of Codiene Phosphate was recovered and was taken into custody immediately”, he said.

 

“Further questioning, of the person revealed that he is Contractual employee of Health Department and is presently posted at Trauma Hospital Pattan as Ambulance Driver.”

                                                                                                 The spokesman said that case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigations set in motion.
