Jammu, June 14: Apni Party has complimented the LG government for its intervention in addressing concerns of students who could not appear in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission in the graduation level courses.
According to a party statement, AP provincial president Jammu youth wing Vipul Bali said that Apni Party president Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari highlighted the issue of the students who were aspiring to take admissions in the colleges but were forced to appear in the examination centres out of J&K due to which a large number of students could not appear in the CUET.
The government responded to the demand raised by the Apni Party president, and the youth wing also held a protest in Jammu highlighting similar demand to revoke the decision, he said.
“However, the government should be appreciated for its prompt response when the issue was highlighted by the Apni Party and highlighted the issue with the NTA,” Bali said. He again demanded that the students should be given admission to their respective district’s colleges across Jammu and Kashmir so that the students from poor and financially marginalized sections of society can also take higher education.
Meanwhile, the party said that over 25 youths joined the Apni Party presence of the senior youth wing leaders. Welcoming them into the party fold, Bali expressed hope that they will work among the students and address their issues by highlighting them before the authorities.
