Baramulla, Sep 10: Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, renowned for his remarkable performance in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ delighted the audience with his heartfelt Kashmiri lines during his visit to the picturesque town of Gulmarg for the festival here.
Vicky captivated the audience with his Kashmiri phrases: “How are you (Tuhe Chhuwe Theek), I am fine (Aa Be Chhus Theek), and ‘I love you (Me Chi Tuhenz Maai).”
The acclaimed actor arrived in Srinagar early Sunday morning where he was warmly welcomed by officials who escorted him to the festival venue in Gulmarg.
The ‘Gulmarg Festival’, a grand event organised by the Indian Army at the popular tourist destination, generated immense enthusiasm among the participants.
Kaushal had already released a video expressing his excitement about participating in the festival and extended his gratitude to the Indian Army.
“I am very happy that I am a part of this programme. I am very eager to meet my people in Kashmir. I thank the Indian Army for this event,” he said.
Addressing a gathering of thousands of spectators, the actor revealed his long-standing desire to be a part of the Indian Army. “I have always wanted to join the army but couldn’t. But whenever there is a chance to put on an army uniform in my profession, I don’t look back and will keep on doing it,” he shared.
Vicky reminisced about his hit film ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ where he portrayed an Indian Army officer. He announced his intention to don the uniform once again in his upcoming movie ‘Sam Bahadur’ slated for release in December this year.
The Gulmarg Festival witnessed the participation of thousands of attendees from across the country who enjoyed two days of musical performances.
Prominent local artists like Waqar Khan, Ishfaq Kawa and others captivated the audience with their melodious songs, making the festival a memorable experience for all.
The festival’s unique blend of entertainment and patriotism brought together people from diverse backgrounds, celebrating the spirit of unity and the beauty of Gulmarg.
Kaushal’s presence added a special touch to the event, leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
