Budgam, Feb 21: The Municipal Committee Budgam on Tuesday asked the general public not to park their vehicles on the roadsides, saying they have proper parking spaces available in the main town of Budgam.
Nazir Ahmad, Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Budgam, told Rising Kashmir that people are parking their vehicles on the roadsides, due to which the commuters are facing a lot of difficulties. It also creates a traffic mess and makes vehicular movement difficult in the district headquarters Budgam.
The Municipal Committee Budgam has paid parking available in the main town near Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam and the Old Revenue Complex Budgam where people should park their vehicles, he said.
“We have already informed the government offices, shopkeepers, traders, business establishments, educational institutions and the general public to park their vehicles at the designated parking places,” Ahmad said. “Any vehicle found parked on the roadside will be seized and fined as per the law.”
