After the Meteorological Department predicte heavy snowfall across the valley, the district authorities of Budgam district have asked the general public not to park their vehicles on roadsides, in case such vehicles are found parked on the roadside will be seized immediately, and a heavy fine will be imposed upon the violators.
An official at district administration in Budgam told the Rising Kashmir that in view of the prediction of heavy snowfall by the Metrological Department in Kashmir Valley from Wednesday late night, The general public has been asked not to park their vehicles on roadsides.
“As all such vehicles are causing hindrance in the snow clearing process and hassle-free movement of important services,” he said.
The official said during the snow clearance, if any damage happens to such vehicles, the administration will not be responsible for the damages.
He said that any violation will be dealt with seriously, and any such vehicle found parked on the roadside will be seized immediately and a heavy fine will be imposed upon the violators
“This is in the public interest and for hassle-free movement of public transport, especially for health-related services and other essential services across the budgam district,” he said.
