VC KVIB visits Faqir Gojri in Harwan

Srinagar, Nov 26: The Vice Chairperson J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat Sunday visited Faqir Gojri area of Block Harwan in Srinagar and held interaction with the unemployed educated youth of the area and general masses belonging to the ST/SC class.
Among others, DDC & BDC Chairman of Faqir Gori Harwan, Block Development Officer Harwan, Deputy CEO KVIB Kashmir Division, Deputy CEO (P/R/S), and different Officers of the Board were present.
Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat interacted with the various DDC & BDC Chairman, Members, Sarpanches and Panches of the area and emphasized on the need of PRIs to involve themselves with the schemes being implemented by the J&K KVIB for the upliftment of unemployed youth/educated youth of the area to get the benefits of the schemes to establish their income generating ventures and create employment.
She requested them to at least get 100 cases of PMEGP/JKREGP per PRI under different trades from each of the family so that they will not wander after the jobs rather will create employment.
The Vice Chairperson J&K KVIB also on-spot distributed the sponsorship letter to various beneficiaries under JKREGP and PMEGP.
She also constituted a team of officers/officials under the overall supervision of Deputy CEO KVIB KD Srinagar to provide hand holding support at the door steps to the rural population of the area about the benefits of the schemes of the Board.
It was informed in the program that during the last three years 2021–2023, the J&K KVIB has sponsored 109 cases involving Project Cost of Rs 632 lacs under PMEGP, and JKREGP sponsored 66 cases involving Project Cost of Rs 520.50 lacs in Block Harwan.
