Srinagar, Dec 21: The Seventh IQAC (Internal Quality Assurance Cell) meeting held at the Islamic University of Science and Technology was chaired by Prof. Shakil A Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST.
The meeting was attended by Dean Academic Affairs, Registrar, Dean Research, Finance Officer, Mr Javid Anim, Managing Director Arco Cements, Dean Outreach, Director DIQA, Deans of different schools, other officers and a student representative.
The IQAC reviewed the progress of the ongoing proposals and projects. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor stressed the need to fulfil the quality parameters as prescribed by the regulatory bodies to accomplish excellence in research, academics, outreach, and governance.
The different initiatives taken by the university in this regard were discussed including the proposals for further enriching the basket of Skill Course offerings, introduction of Industry specific executive Programmes, capacity building of Staff, incentivizing the student participation in extracurricular/ Co-curricular activities, further strengthening and widening the scope of outreach activities besides other matters.
