The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) continues in Shopian district with massive public participation.

Today, 6 Panchayats of Zainapora block, Agler, Awneera, Babapora, Cheermarg, Melhura and Zainapora were covered under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.

On this occasion, a Viksit pledge was administered to the officers, PRIs and Public, affirming their commitment to the nation’s holistic development, besides IEC Vans were also put into service to inform the people about the Government sponsored welfare schemes meant for the wellbeing of the general masses.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers said that each and every individual across the length and breadth of India has to play an active role in making India a developed and self reliant nation.

They also briefed the participants about the Government sponsored welfare schemes which include, PM Kisan, KCC, PM Garib Kalyan, Ujjwala, etc.

VBSY witnessed a massive and enthusiastic response from the public. Participants listened keenly to the recorded message of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India. On the occasion, people received information about various government schemes and other initiatives and got themselves enrolled for different services.

Under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes shared their experiences about the benefits they availed after enrolling themselves under these schemes. They urged others to come forward and reap the benefits of welfare schemes.

Resource persons of different departments also generated awareness regarding public welfare schemes.

The participants also availed health services including screening for various ailments at health camps conducted at the event.

Varieties of cultural programmes were also presented by the students of various educational institutions on the occasion. Students of schools took part in skits and cultural events.
