Udhyam Yuva Fest under Sewa Pakhwada concludes at Govt Polytechnic College

  Kupwara, Sep 27: The two-day Udhyam Yuva Fest organised by Government Polytechnic College Kupwara, in collaboration with the District Employment Office Kupwara under the banner of Sewa Pakhwada from September 26 concluded Saturday. As per a statement issued here, the event witnessed overwhelming enthusiasm and active participation from students, supported by the faculty Govt. Polytechnic Kupwara and officers/officials of District Employment and Counselling Centre Kupwara. On September 26, four competitions viz. Painting, Essay Writing, Speech, and Quiz were conducted, providing a vibrant platform for students to exhibit their creativity, knowledge, critical thinking, and communication skills. The respective evaluation committees assessed the performances on the same day. The felicitation ceremony was held today, where winners securing the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions in each category were honored with prizes and certificates of participation. The awards were distributed by the Superintendent ITI Kupwara, Assistant Labour Commissioner/AD Employment Kupwara, and the Principal of Government Polytechnic College Kupwara. The second day of the fest also featured awareness and guidance sessions. An entrepreneurship awareness session was followed by an insightful lecture by Arshad Qadir on employment opportunities and scholarships offered by the Labour Department. Career Counselling Officer, Employment department, enlightened students about sector-specific career pathways and provided personalized counselling. Official from the Employment department Kupwara further highlighted Mission YUVA programs and other employment-related initiatives.
