The District Administration Udhampur, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, today kick started the National Girl Child Week as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
Deputy Commissioner, Saloni Rai, chaired the event in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex witnessing the presence of key officers including Additional District Development Commissioner Ghan Sham Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional SP Anwar-Ul-Haq, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Rafiq Ahmed Jaral and other senior officers.
The DC highlighted the week-long celebrations, featuring varied activities and awareness programs such as poster designing, slogan writing, drawing competitions, and wall painting contests among schools across the district.
