At least two houses were gutted in an overnight blaze in Khunbal locality of Handwara on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
As per locals, the massive fire erupted in a residential house and spread to nearby house, resulting in the destruction of two houses in the incident.
An official also confirmed the fire incident, adding no one was hurt in the blaze.
The cause of fire was not know immediately.
