Two non-local labourers injured in Anantnag terrorist attack

Srinagar, July 18: Two  non-local labourers were injured after being shot by terrorists in LalChowk area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, Police said on Tuesday.
Following the attack, they were rushed by locals to SMHS Srinagar with bullet injuries in critical condition.The attack took place in the evening. However, terrorists managed to flee taking the advantage of darkness.
The injured have been identified as Akshay S/o Kanta R/o Sangli Maharashtra aged 20 yearsand Saurav S/o Pradeep R/o Sangli Maharashtra aged 20 years. However, both are stable.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Vijay Kumar told Rising Kashmir that terrorists fired upon two outside labourers in Anantnag. Both the injured civilians have been shifted to hospital, where they are stated to be stable. Area being cordoned off for search operation,” he said.
“Terrorists have used pistols for the attack. Both labourers received gunshot injuries and were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment,” Kumar said.
He also said they have registered a case in this regard under relevant sections of law. The investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this terror crime,” he said.Meanwhile, police said TRF has claimed the responsibility of the attack.
The officer at Anantnag said that  the entire area has been cordoned and searches are going on.
On July 13th, three non-local labourers were injured after being shot by terrorists in Gagran area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
On May 29th, a circus employee from Udhampur was shot dead by terrorists near Amusement Park in JanglaatMandi area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag.
