Two more drug peddlers held in Kulgam

The mission Drugs Free Kulgam and subsequent actions against drug peddlers and its propagators is going on in a offensive mode in district kulgam and the criminals involved in drug menace are targeted regularly; In this connection Kulgam Police had arrested two more drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.

 

A Police Spokesperson said that On specific informations regarding transportation of drugs was generated by Kulgam Police and promptly a teams headed by SHO Yaripora was constituted and subsequently multiple Nakas were established and during the checking two drug peddlers namely; Riyaz Ahmad Malla S/O Mohd Yaseen Malla R/O Khanabal Anantnag was apprehended at Behibrada and from his possession 12 KG of Grinded Cannabis like contraband substance, 11 Bottles (Cofmaster C) were recovered. Also the vehicle (Load Carrier) bearing registration number JK03J-1593 used in commission of the said crime was seized in the case. 

 

“Similarly Mohd Shafi Nadaf S/O Abdul Majeed Nadaf R/O Yaripora was apprehended at Kokergund Crossing and from his possession, 12 bottles , (Cofmart CD) were recovered during his search”, he said.

 

In this connection, Case FIR No’s . 09/2023 U/S 8/21 & FIR No. 11/2023 U/S 8/20,21 of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Yaripora and investigation has been taken up in both the registered cases .

 

It is pertinent to mention that kulgam police is working day and night to find out the peddlers involved in the sale and usage of contraband substances in the district and the efforts will go on till the last peddler is put behind the Bars.
