Srinagar, Nov 03: Two migrant labourers who were working at a private school in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district were shot at and injured after terrorists fired upon them, Police said on Thursday.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar told Rising Kashmir that it is a “coward and inhuman act of terrorists and culprits would be brought to justice soon.”
“First terrorist called them to come out to engage for a work. Once both came out of school, terrorist fired three bullets upon them with pistol. We are investigating on top priority. Culprit would be brought to justice soon,” he said.
Another senior police officer told Rising Kashmir that two labourers working in Sabir Abdullah Public School (SAPS) in Wanihama area of Anantnag were shot at and injured inside the school by terrorists.
Following the attack, the duo was shifted to GMC Anantnag, where they are being treated.
“Both are stable and are out of danger,” the officer said.
In a tweet, Kashmir Zone Police said, “Terrorists fired upon two outside labourers (01 from Bihar and second from Nepal), who were working at a private SAPS school at Bondialgam in Anantnag district. Both of them are being shifted to the hospital. Further details shall follow.”
Soon after the attack, senior Police officers immediately reached the terror crime spot.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered and a search is underway to trace the terrorists.
The police officer said they will continue to work to establish the full circumstances of this terror crime. The area has been cordoned and search in the area is going on,” he said.
On October 18, two non-local migrant labourers from Uttar Pradesh were killed in an overnight grenade attack in Shopian.
