Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday have arrested two gamblers at Takiya Wagoora area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A Police spokesperson said that Police party of Police Post Wagoora on a specific information regarding presence of gamblers at Takiya Wagoora. Acting upon the information police party rushed towards the spot.On seeing the police party they tried to flee from the spot but we apprehended them tactfully.
“The arrested gamblers were identified as Jahangir Ahmad Shah S/O Mehraj ud Din Shah R/O Takiya Wagoora & Parvaiz Ahmad Malik S/O Bashir Ahmad Malik R/O Gousia Colony Hadipora.Playing cards alongwith stake money of ₹ 3800/- were recovered from them”, he said.
He added that case under sections of 13 Gambling Act registered in Police Station Kreeri and investigation taken up.
