Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday have arrested two drug peddlers alongwith contraband substance in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking Stringent action against the Drug Peddlers, Kulgam Police under the close supervision of SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal-IPS apprehended two more Drug Peddlers alongwith Cannabis powder like contraband substance in the jurisdiction of Police station Kulgam.
A team of Kulgam Police led by SHO police station Kulgam while patrolling at Bypass Kulgam near Chatabal bridge intercepted two suspicious persons identified as; Mohd Sadiq Waza S/O Ghulam Muhammad Waza R/O Ziyaratgali kulgam and Bashir Ahmad Sheikh S/O Gull Mohd Sheikh R/O Chawalgam, who after noticing police party tried to flee from the spot. They were chased and apprehended tactfully. After search, officers present were able to recover 07 Kilogram of Grinded Cannabis powder like contraband substance filled in the said bags from their possession.
In this regard, Case with FIR No. 09/2024 under section 8/20, 29 of NDPS act stands registered in Police Station Kulgam and further investigation has been taken up.
