Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A Spokesperson said that a Police party of Police Station Boniyar headed by SHO PS Boniyar at a checkpoint established at Bernate, Boniyar intercepted two persons riding a motorcycle, identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir son of Ab Ahad resident of Bernate and Nadeem Ahmad Thokar son of Gh Rasool resident of Kalantra Bala Kreeri. During search, 14 grams of charas like substances was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and the vehicle has also been seized.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law have been registered at Police Station Boniyar and investigation has been initiated.
