Srinagar, Jan. 10: Two persons died after two vehicles collided in Hayam village of Kupwara in north Kashmir on Tuesday afternoon.
As per the report, a Mauriti (JK09B 2285) and an army vehicle (137282
K) collided with each other resulting in four persons suffering grievous injuries, among whom two died later on the way to the hospital.
As per officials, soon after the incident, all the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital where two were declared dead on arrival and two others are being treated.
The duo who were killed in the tragic incident were identified as Mohammed Yaseen Ganie, son of Mohammed Sultan, and Shumas Duha, son of Bashir Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Kralpora.
The injured were identified as Altaf Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Mohammed Mir, and his wife, Rubeena Begum, residents of Shumnag.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on the area following the news’s spread.A police officer told Rising Kashmir that an investigation in this case has been set into motion.
