Two absconders evading their arrest for more than 3 decades held in Baramulla: Police

Continuing it’s crackdown against absconders, Police in Baramulla have arrested two absconders who were evading their arrests from three decades.

A spokesperson said that a Police Party of Police Station Kunzer arrested two absconders namely Showkat Ahmad Shah son of Ab Majeed resident of Wagenpora Srinagar & Showkat Ahmad Makhdoomi son of Mohd Yaseen resident of Makhdoom Sahab Srinagar involved in case FIR No. 296/1998 u/s 224 RPC & 308/1999 u/s 420 RPC of PS Pattan.

“Warrant of arrest was issued by the Hon’ble Court of Sub Judge JMIC Tangmarg against them respectively. They were evading their arrests since 1998 & 1999 respectively. Both were produced before the Hon’ble Court of JMIC Tangmarg”, he said.

Police is implementing rigorous measures to ensure that all individuals who are absconding their arrests are apprehended and held accountable for their criminal actions. this dedication to combating Crime will remain steadfast.
