An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday with people running out of their homes for safety
According to National Center for Seismology, the epicenter was in Afghanistan and the quake took place at a depth of 220 km.
The earthquake struck at 11:19:55 IST.
No casualty has been reported in the region till now. The latitude and longitude of the quake was reported to be 36.56 and 71.13
“Earthquake of Magnitude:5.2, Occurred on 28-05-2023, 11:19:55 IST, Lat: 36.56 & Long: 71.13, Depth: 220 Km ,Location: Afghanistan,” National Center for Seismology said in a tweet.
