Udhampur, Apr 29:  A two-day training programme on “Karmayogi Police – custodians of society” commenced on Saturday.
Mission Karmayogi is the national programme for Civil Services Capacity Building which aims to create a competent civil service rooted in Indian ethos with a shared understanding of India’s priorities, working in harmonization for effective and efficient public service delivery. The idea behind the scheme is to bring about a change in the attitude and skill set of government employees.
This is the 20th course being held in the academy. The training programme is being coordinated by Master trainers Sajneev Kumar, DySP, STC Talwara. Thirty officers/officials of J&K Police are to be trained in eight modules as per the workbook provided by the Capacity Building Commission.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunmati Gupta, Assistant Director (Admn/Q) SKPA said that the course will go a long way in shaping the career of the participants in the perspective of positive attitude and inculcating ‘Seva Bhav’ in dealing with the general public. He advised the participants to carry forward the spirit of feeling young in the subsequent stages of their careers. “The more we become Karmayogi Policepersons, the more our Seva Shakti will manifest itself, the more positive impact we can make on society,” he said.
